The purpose of this website is to develop an inventory of 19th century stone houses in Ontario. We depend upon your submissions (please see below)! As of April 1, 2007, we are focusing on southwestern Ontario.
Nina Chapple is responsible for this inventory project. She is author of A Heritage of Stone (Toronto: Lorimer, 2006), has worked for 30 years in the field of heritage planning and was for 20 years the heritage planner for the City of Hamilton, Ontario. She lives in a stone house in Dundas, Ontario.
The headpiece for this section is the former Presbyterian manse in Fergus, Ontario.
